I like cooking and finding new flavors to love. Turns out dreaming-pregnant-me has some pretty great ideas! It all started with a dream that someone was going to make me a dirty chai latte, that’s a coffee with chai tea spices, frothy milk and some sweetener. As soon as I could I was in the kitchen trying to make myself one! I made a decent rendition, but nothing worth sharing. This fancy coffee recipe got me on a making-fancy-coffee-drinks-kick, so since then I have also tried my hand at making a pumpkin spice latte and a pumpkin spice coffee smoothie. Yum!
Next I dreamt about chili: Chipotle Chicken Quinoa Chili. It was a chili I had never heard of before, but it tasted so good in my dream I knew it was worth finding. A basic search on the internet didn’t yield anything like the chili I dream-ate, so I had to make a recipe from scratch. My first try was pretty bland, but my second try won me second place at a chili cook off with friends! I’d say it turned out quite well. Way to go sleeping pregnant-brain, thanks for all the great recipe ideas!
- Tired: I sleep 9 hours nightly, but always feel like I’m dragging.
- Vivid Dreams: every night, it always feels so real.
- Maternity clothes: bought fleece lined leggings to wear with very long shirts. I’m considering buying some more Long Shirts as well.
- Cracking Joints: so many cracks and pops!
- Mood Swings: crabby lately, probably connected to busyness and fatigue
I have been extra busy lately, to the point that I’ve started to get stressed out and crabby. More sleep might help, so I decided this next week to try upping my nightly snooze to 9.5 hours and see if that helps. Now that cold is here to stay I finally took out my fall/winter wardrobe and put away my spring/summer clothes. Since I’ve out grown a few things I also tucked away any clothes I won’t fit into for the next six months to help declutter.
Newborns are so tiny! I had the chance this week to visit my friend and her one week old baby. I hope I will think my baby is as cute as him! Lastly, my mother-in-law took me to a consignment store for all things baby. After our trip there I feel very hopeful about having a budget friendly baby. Coming up this week: I am excited to paint the baby room with a friend (I decided on light gray) and to host a fall party.
